Avon Haul and My Avon Store

Hey friends....

Today I'm going to show you a few bits and pieces that I have got in my recent Avon order.  I started doing Avon for friends and family last year and have been amazed at the variety of products the catalogue now sells....
 

This handbag, for example, is STUNNING! It has been designed by famous handbag designer Tabitha Webb for Avon's 130th year anniversary.

Tabitha has recently partnered up with Pippa Middleton for designer handbags and her bags are worn by the likes of  Fearne Cotton, Tess Daly and Amanda Holden.  You can read more about the collaboration and other products in the range here

As well as the handbag I may have treated myself to a few old favourites. A new addition to this is the dry shampoo which is definitely one of the best I have tried as it leave no white cast or gritty feeling on the hair. 

 

Another new favourite is the pore penetrating black mineral mask, this stuff is amazing as it gets deep down into the pores and lifts out all the grit and grime, leaving your skin feels clean and soft.

 

The nail varnishes are a new formulation also and are in a great new range of pastel colours which are right on trend this summer.

LMD Magherafelt

Hey friends..

Did ya miss me last week? lol As I said in my previous blog - it was my birthday!! As a little treat to myself I decided to make a little trip to LMD Salon in Magherafelt to get my makeup done.  Believe it or not, I have never had my own makeup done - I just do other people's!!

Louise opened her first salon in Portglenone and it was then shortly followed by the opening of the Magherafelt salon.  She has 9 girls working in this salon, doing makeup, hair and nails - 6 makeup artists and 3 hair stylists. The atmosphere and buzz was great and the girls were absolutely lovely and really friendly.

Louise has also brought out her own range of lashes which are absolutely stunning and is now branching out at supplying her lashes in other salon around the province. It was Ciara who did my makeup and I did have an idea of what i wanted.  I know from experience that this always makes life a little easier so I did my research.  

The makeup itself took around an hour and the products used were a mix of high end and drugstore. Ciara was more than happy to explain each step of what she was doing and answer all of my annoying questions. :-)

I was absolutely delighted with the outcome - the lashes used were the Melissa lashes.  

So here I am all set for my birthday night out, and what a great wee night was had by all - hence no blogpost last week.......

Revival Hairdressing, Coleraine

Hey friends...

This week I decided it was time to get the 'mop chopped'.  I tried out Revival Hairdressing in Coleraine, Claire opened Revival back in October last year and after hearing many great things about the salon, and my daughter also having her hair done there, I decided to pay a visit.

The team are: Claire McAuley - Owner/Manager, Jordan Campbell - Stylist and Aimee-Lee Mitchell - Junior/Student.

So really all I wanted was a tidy-up and one of Jordan's imfamous head massages that i'd heard so much about!! (Even if you don't need anything else done, let Jordan wash your hair - when she started her head massage it gave me goose bumps!!)

Claire is not only an extremely talented hairdresser with over 20 years experience in the business but she also has a fabulous eye and will give you great advice.  My trouble is that with short hair i'm never really happy with the back of my hair...it always looks untidy and 'taily' (is that even a word?!?). Claire did a fantastic tidy up and also offered advice on how we would be best to work with it from here on in! As you can see, she did a fantastic job (i forgot to take front pics!!...lol)

The salon is an official stockists of the fabulous label.m range which Claire used on my hair.  They also stock the fullest range of Wella haircare as well as Nioxon 3D range.

When Lauryn went for a ombre effect baylage just before Christmas she was also delighted with the results:

All the products are lovely, the contour sticks blend like a dream for only £3 and the highlighting palette will have you 'shining like a diamond'!!!

He-Shi Dark Foaming Mousse Review

Hey friends....so today is a little review on this new tan that I got recently. It was on offer in Gordons Chemist and I have never used this one before so through I would give it a wee try, and share it with you guys.

So the one I got was the He-Shi Dark Foaming Mousse £9.99 reduced from £23 and it included the wee mitt in the box.

 

It applied really easily as you can see below (excuse my knobbly knees!!) Another thing I noticed was that it didn't really smell of anything - both when I was applying it and also when it was developing as I left it overnight.

It developed into a lovely golden colour by next morning and still no offensive  'biscuity' smell!!

 


So all in all, I think I got a great bargain and will definitely repurchase - although I will wait until I see it on offer for £9.99 again or re-stock if this offer is still on.

Another great thing that I noticed was that it faded really evenly too, not at all patchy.

Barry M Coconut infusion nail polish

HELLO..........long time no chat!!

I have been meaning to start up this blog again for a VERY VERY long time and am determined to sort myself out now and get down to it.  The plan is to publish a new post every Sunday!

Today's blog is all about the new Barry M Coconut Infusion nail polishes.  To say the least....THEY ARE AMAZING!! The colours are stunning, the formula is fabulous and the lasting power is the best i have every tried.

The blend of coconut oil and coconut water gently hydrates and nourishes nails and leaves the nails looking salon manicured. 

Another thing I noticed about these polishes is when they are removed, my nails are in excellent condition and look the best they have in a very long time. I have been trying to grow my nails for a very long time, which is no mean feat considering that they are destroyed from acrylic and gel nails. I honestly think that these polishes are speeding up the growth.

I bought my polishes in Superdrug on the 3 for 2 offer, priced at £4.99 each. www.superdrug.com. I think that offer is over now but they do have them on Buy One get One half price across the whole Barry M range at the minute.

Hey Guys

I'm back.....after what seems like forever but am gonna make a proper go of this now so please stay tuned!!

So I had a little look through a website I had seen a lot of other bloggers talking about and low and behold they had Real Techniques AND Sigma brushes!!!

Well..it would have been rude not to....

So the brushes I got where the Sigma F80 and P86 and the Real Techniques fine liner brush and the setting  brush.

The F80 is fantastic for buffing out foundation for the most amazing airbrushed look...I LOVE IT!

The P86 I got for concealer and I though the pointed tip would be great for getting right into the corner of the undereyes and this brush did not disappoint either.

The other two brushes I haven't tried yet but stay tuned for a review coming soon.
